He has served on the Boards of Directors of the Nassau County chapters of both the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP) and is a Past President of the Nassau SFSP. On a national level, he served on the Board of Directors of NAIFA's Division of Financial Advisors on the Financial Advisors Task Force. In addition, he is a member of the Elder Law Section and the Estates and Trusts Section of the New York State Bar Association. He was formerly the president of RNJ Associates, Ltd., a mortgage broker registered with the New York State Banking Department.
